I was recently awarded the Austin Critics Table Artist of the Year award for 2013-2014. I’d like to thank Jade Walker at UT’s Visual Arts Center for believing in my work and offering me the opportunity to execute a solo project in UT’s Vaulted Gallery. I don’t think this award would have been handed to me without the execution of that specific project. I’d also like to thank the Austin Critics Table for the recognition. It’s greatly appreciated. Thanks to my wife Allison for her continued support and encouragement. AND—thanks to everybody who helped facilitate the construction and pitched in to make the show a reality. Although it was billed as a solo project, I had tons of help from a lot of great people (Adam Young, Mike Aho, Denton Watts, Pearly Rihn, Tony at Industry Screen Printing, the entire VAC staff and many others). I’m thankful to live in such a supportive community.
